Claire and Homer were married on October 14th in Ridgeway, SC. The church was packed! There were several folks standing outside during the ceremony. Becki and I really enjoyed being a part of this wedding.

I need to start drinking Sprite. They’re having too much fun!
I looked back and saw this just as they were entering the church. I love my job.
The ceremony was great. Music was supplied by Musical Moments string quartet.
The reception was catered by Southern Gourmet. The pork tenderloin was absolutely phenomenal.
Chocolate fountain. Yum!
Congratulations!

Stacey and Alec were married on Sunday October 8th at the Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill, SC. This is a really neat place. They’ve converted a dairy barn into a really nice facility for weddings and parties. "Rustic elegance" is the best way for me to describe it.
Stacey and Alec decided to see each other before the ceremony so we had Alec surprise her.
We had planned to do the pictures outside, but it was too windy. We found a nice area near an open doorway that had amazing light. No need for flash here!
Tux detail
Isn’t she cute? Again, amazing light near a window.
Alec’s brother Randy and his fiancee Adrienne.
After the wedding, we took a little walk and got some "country style" portraits.
Fun with the fishye lens during dinner. Catering by Something Classic out of Charlotte, NC.
More fun with the fisheye. Awesome cake by For Goodness Cakes.
Don’t dance too close to this guy!
The band, In The Pocket kept the reception going long and strong.

The sparkler send off.
Congratulations!

Erin and Stevo were married on October 7th at Riverland Hills Baptist Church. Riverland Hills recently moved to an awesome new facility off of Lake Murray Blvd. Very nice!
Since we’ve photographed several weddings at Riverland Hills before, we got to see some former brides and their families at the wedding and reception.
Here are a few of our favorites:

Erin and the gals

Dad wanted to get in on the fun!

The guys cutting up

Elloa and her fiancee Mike. We’re photographing their wedding in February.

The Jackson Sisters String Quartet provided the ceremony music.

Erin was looking nervous before the ceremony, but as soon as the doors swung open she was all smiles!
A little privacy please! Thank you.

The reception was at the River Center at Saluda Shoals. Catering by Chef Randy Davis at Elegant Eats.
First Dance
Kazoos for the departure. That was different… and much easier to clean up after!
Congratulations!

Karin and Dylan are to be married on March 3, 2007. We did their Love Story session at the USC Horseshoe last week. I think they had a good time! Here are some of our favorites from the session:

Becki and I attended the Professional Photographers of SC annual convention last week. It’s a great learning experience for photographers. We attended seminars of some the top portrait and wedding photographers in the country and learned how they photograph and run their businesses. There was also a statewide print competition and Becki and I did very well. Here are the highlights:
Becki had a print that scored high enough to earn a Merit in the Children’s Portrait category.
Becki and I both submitted a wedding album that earned a Merit and was the second highest scoring wedding album.
Becki and I both submitted a baby album which featured a maternity session, coverage of the birth, and then a newborn photo session in our studio. It was the highest scoring album at the convention and earned a Merit, a Distinguished Award and the Best Family Album award.
I had a portrait of a senior that earned a Merit as well as a Distinguished Award. I also had a children’s portrait that earned a Merit.
The crown jewel was a wedding image that I entered in the Wedding Candid category. It earned a Merit, Best Wedding Candid, Best of Wedding/Event and the Fuji Masterpiece Award for Wedding/Event.
At the end of the competition they recognized the top 10 photographers in the state. Becki ranked 7th and I ended up 4th.
Feel free to stop by the studio and see the albums and prints we entered.

We really enjoyed photographing Mandy and Caleb’s wedding last Friday at Wintergreen Woods in Lexington. Everyone was super nice and had a lot of fun. Here are some of our favorites. (It was hard to narrow them down to only 12!)
Mandy getting ready.
Not too hard mom!
The rings
Caleb and his brother cutting up before the ceremony.
If I’m lucky enough to ever have a granddaughter, I hope to still look this good when she gets married.
One of my favorite moments from each wedding is when dad comes to get his daughter just before the ceremony. You just can’t stage moments like this. Maybe it gets me because I have three daughters of my own.
An outtake during the formals. He had a good hold of her veil!
More fun during the formals.

Mandy and Grey getting down. Dave Gilbert with Party Time DJ’s did a great job of keeping the party going.
Awesome limo!
Congratulations!
Becki and I left the very next morning for the Professional Photographers of SC Annual Convention in Greenville, SC. I’ll be posting our results from the statewide print and album competition very soon….
